Trapped Between Tears and Truth

She has tears in her eyes.
She knows things but is scared to say them.
Her heart is heavy, and every word feels like a weight to carry.

Her voice shakes and her lips tremble
She wants to be honest, but fear holds her back.
She wishes to let it all out, but the pain inside her doesn't go away

She puts a weak smile.
It hides her true feelings from the world
But inside, she struggles with what she can't express.

So, she stays quiet and sad.
She fears what tomorrow might bring.
The girl who can't speak the truth without crying feels trapped and alone.

Mom, I sit alone with my books.  The clock ticks slowly as night falls.  The words on the pages start to blur, and the silence feels loud.  I want to make you proud. I read, I write, and I memorize.  Yet, I see your questions in my mind.  When my grades aren't good enough,  I see your disappointment.  It hurts me to see your face. You ask why I didn’t succeed.  You wonder what went wrong.  I have no answers,  just tears that come from trying hard and being scared. It's not because I don't care.  I try my best every day.
