Phone Taken, Study Time forced
I put my phone away,
and the room becomes quiet.
It feels like the calm before a storm.
The walls seem to share secrets about dreams I forgot and tasks I didn't finish.
Now, I have to study.
My table is messy with papers.
There are ink stains from thoughts I didn't fully write out.
A blank page feels heavy,
just like my phone that’s not buzzing.
Outside, life goes on.
I can hear laughter in the wind.
My friends are sharing stories while I sit here alone.
I feel lost in the silence,
and each tick of the clock reminds me of what I can't have right now.
I read the words on the page.
Each letter is a step forward.
Sometimes, my mind wanders.
I struggle to focus, but I'm also thankful for the push to learn.
I discover new worlds hidden in the text.
With every highlight and quick note I take,
I reclaim the time I wasted scrolling on my phone.
Each minute spent studying feels like a win against distractions.
It’s like sunshine breaking through the clouds.
My phone is just sitting there,
waiting for me.
Meanwhile, I become an explorer,
discovering new ideas in books.
In this process, I find a part of myself that goes beyond screens and quick moments.
Here, in the quiet of study time, I learn to appreciate this gift of knowledge.
